booking reserving your wedding date:
q- How far in advance do you book your dates?
a- Typically people book wedding photography 8-16 months in advance. Of course there are some that book earlier or later. Saturdays from May through October tend to book earlier than other dates.
q- How much is your retainer?
a- In order to reserve your requested date a non-refundable retainer of $500 is required... this is deducted from your balance due.
q- Do you offer payment plans?
a- Yes. The balance after your retainer fee is due no later than 30 days before your wedding date. You are able to make payments of any amount, at any time, up to that date at which point any remaining balance will be due.
prints, products, albums:
q- What is a print credit and how do I use it?
a- A print credit can be used on any of our professional prints and products. I recommend that you use the print credit for wall art for your home and to give to your families. This credit can only be used at your proofing ordering session or via phone, it can NOT be used through the online gallery.
q- Do you choose the photos to design my wedding album or do I have to do it?
a- Before designing your album I will ask you to choose your favorite images from your collection. Because I design pages with colors and textures in mind, I will use a combination of your choices and others I have selected to design the pages.
q- How much do couples usually invest in wall art and products after the wedding?
a- After using their print credit, most couples (and their families) will invest $500-$2000 in artwork and other products for their home and albums for their family.
Determining the right Wedding Photography Collection:
q- What is the most popular wedding collection?
a- Our most popular wedding collection is The Story Of Us collection. Couples tend to choose it because it includes all of the essentials plus the flash drive of edited images, a wedding album, engagement session, and a larger print credit for wall art.
q- Do we really need to have an engagement session?
a- The engagement session is helpful for many reasons. First, it lets us get to know you better so we can better photograph your personalities and understand your photo preferences. Second, the session also allows you to get “warmed up” in front of the camera so you can get the photo nerves out of the way and you know exactly what to expect for the wedding day. Third, unlike the wedding where we’re limited on locations we can travel to, the engagement session lets us go to multiple locations and you can have photos in a different season than your wedding. Lastly, you can use the engagement images to decorate your home, for the newspaper or other announcements, save the dates, invitations, and as decorations at the wedding.
q- Once we give our deposit and choose a wedding collection can we still add other products/prints later?
a- Yes, if you would like to change your collection you may do so up until the day of the wedding. All of our albums, prints, and products can be added at any time before or after the wedding.
q- Is there a travel fee?
a- Travel is included for any weddings within 100 miles of Hagerstown, MD. All other locations will be determined at the time of your consult based on distance and possible travel expenses.
q- Is it okay for my family and guests to take photos with their digital cameras or phones at my wedding?
a- Yes, of course! Other digital cameras don’t bother us; we’re all about making memories. The one time that we ask for exclusive camera rights is during the formal portraits. It’s really hard to get the shots we need when we’re competing for everyone’s attention and eye contact because of all the digital cameras taking pictures at once. We ask that you kindly remind your guests that they will have the opportunity to see all of the professional images online, and to please not take snapshots during formal portraits.
q- Is there a contract to sign?
a- Yes, to protect all involved we are legally required to provide a signed contract for services. The contract and retainer are required upon reserving your selected date.
q- What forms of payment do you accept?
a- We accept most major credit cards, debit cards, checks made out to "Conroy Photography, LLC", and cash payments.
q- How long does it take to have our online gallery after the wedding?
a- Time frames do vary depending upon where in the season your wedding takes place. Weddings are edited in order and galleries can take as little as four weeks and as many as 12 weeks. If it looks as if your gallery will fall outside of that time frame you will be notified.
q- Do you edit our images fully?
a- Yes, your images will be carefully hand processed so that your entire collection is consistent in vibrant color, correct lighting, and accurate skin tones. We will also process a select amount of your images as black & white, and with other custom enhancements.
